About Me

I’m Adam, founder of Flight Idol. I have been flying since 2003 and have accumulated over 2,000 of flight time. I have a passion for aviation, and I want to share the wonders of flying with you.

I worked as a Certified Flight Instructor for a couple of years prior to joining Great Lakes as a First Officer to fly the Beech 1900D out of Denver. Later I flew for Horizon Airlines on the CRJ-700 based out of Portland.

In 2008 with the economy in turmoil and furloughs on the horizon (pun intended), I switched careers into software development. I finally landing back at Alaska Airlines where today I develop Alaska’s award-winning 5-star iOS app.

Flight Idol exists as a way to share aviation knowledge for people of all levels, and provide a place for you to ask whatever aviation related questions you may have. If I don’t know, I will find out!

Thank you for visiting. As always, we wish you blue skies and tailwinds. Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the site!
